South Florida Bluegrass Association
Bluegrass in South Florida

The South Florida Bluegrass Association has presented bluegrass events in the Dade, Broward, Monroe, and Palm Beach area since becoming Florida chartered in 1971. In 1973, we became a 501C-3 non-profit organization, dedicated to the education, preservation, and promotion of the rich heritage of Bluegrass and Old-time Mountain music. The SFBA has consecutively produced and presented our international, three-day, Everglades Bluegrass Festival, since 1978.

The Evereglades Bluegrass Festival has entertained audiences with some of the biggest stars from the Bluegrass world and the Grand Ole Opry. We bring together national tour bands along side of our best regional talent. We also feature instrumental workshops, for beginner and seasoned musicians.

Local Bluegrass talent is showcased at our monthly festivals, held the first Sunday of every month, under the shady oak trees of Greynolds Park. Concession stands provide food and drinks. Everyone is encouraged to bring their acoustic instruments and join in the jams. The final set on our stage is often reserved for open jamming and budding musicians to perform and gain stage experience.
